I believe teaching should prioritize clarity, curiosity, and compassion. My role as an educator is not to expect perfection, but to create spaces where learners feel safe enough to ask questions, reflect honestly, and grow with confidence.
I build structure into every learning experience so that students and professionals know what to expect and how to succeed, specifically following the Quality Matters© rubric. That structure allows flexibility, creativity, and human connection to flourish. As someone with ADHD and close relationships with neurodivergent individuals, I design content with cognitive diversity in mind. I use direct language, consistent layouts, multiple entry points, and visual pacing strategies so that no one is left behind.
Whether I’m teaching CEUs, mentoring student athletic trainers, or explaining something in a TikTok, my goals are the same. I want people to walk away feeling more capable, more connected to their work, and more seen as learners.
Created with Parkview Sports Medicine for my teaching practicum required by University of Indianapolis.
